    Bit of a cheeky question,

Sorry i don't mean to be rude.

Living not so far away from the shop, would i still get a discount if i buy over the counter ?

Our discount applies to internet sales only and on carriage paid (over £65) orders. To take advantage place any orders normally and immeadiately afterwards e-mail from site to sales@brewgenie.co.uk that you are a member of this fine site. The internet side of the business is seperate to the stores.
Before you all groan - too late - we are the only discount homebrew stores in the UK so everyone should save money. (If you don't beleive me try some comparisons on our kit prices).

It's true, I have done quite a bit of checking, Paul is selling heron bay kits at £33, the cheapest I can find them elsewhere is £35

            check for your self

            regards

              Thanks for your support, Bob.
We actually take a lot of stick from certain wholesalers and manufacturers (NOT Heron Bay or their importers I have to say) about certain prices.
Some do seem to want to keep prices high in the industry. In fact one manufacturer refuses to supply us directly because we don't abide by their RRP rule.

Glad to see businesses stepping up to the plate! Congratulations all around to all! I'm trying to get my husband into the car for a quick 600 mile round trip to our "local" store. I think we could do it with an overnight. The "local" just moved and I want to see the store, touch all the toys and bring home about 4 kits! The gas will be less than the shipping on that kind of weight!

Things are different in the US where you have many more manufacturers and wholesalers allowing competition to thrive.
Over here we have had price fixing and supply restrictions for years - which goes a long way to explain why there are so few home brew retaillers left over here.
