right, got 4.5 gals of variant on.

        I used the following:

9L red grape juice (tesco value brand)
2kg currants blitzed in hot water (nearly killed my bamix)
        3kg sugar
        2 tsp tannin
        4 tsp tronozymol
20g citric acid (check after ferment to adjust acid)
10 cans of canned blackberries (tescos 300g tin in syrup) blitzed with the bamix
4 bannanas blitzed in hot water
        water to 1090 gravity
        8tsp pectolase
        lalvin kiv yeast

Given the thickness of the "cap" I reckon it'll be all over my kitchen floor as soon as it gets going.

Brian - are you still selling grape skins?? I could put some to use methinks.

            Ay springes to catch woodcocks.

Or not, in this case not - simple plan to keep some of the fruit for the winery.

Looks a good recipe, my blackberries were not long frozen. Let us know how it turns out.
Now bottling 20DJs of 2013 red and making room to rack 5 carboys of 2014 red to the DJs where they can wait for another winter.
Thank goodness for eBay! (local cache of DJs)
