  • Oh its good

Started a elder and blackberry on the 10th of august. Bottled yesterday as I needed the DJ.

Not quiet enough to fill the 6th bottle so me and Mrs happy tasted it, and tasted it again and again and then was all gone

Its going to be a struggle ageing the other 5 bottles for 6 months, good job there is another 5 galls on the go.

          Yes, do let us know.

I have a load of elderberries sitting in my freezer, and there are about a million elderberry recipes.

Bring 6lb of them with you to grapefest and we will steam them for you, see if you like the wine made that way, it will permit a juice only fermentation.....thats how I do mine now

              It's a deal

6lb = how many gallons? Running out of fermenters here!

Was it clear when you bottled ? Did it drop clear without finings ? Seems rather soon to be bottling.

final was 992 and used 2 part finnings to clear. Cleared very good and quick

Did not really want to bottle yet but have all 10 demij's going at the moment and needed a spare

Mine is bubbling away at the moment, but I'm going to turn it into a port as per the recipe section
