Jay you need to decide on this quicky and get the wine fermenting, 7 months isn't very long. My thoughts are, lychee or WineExpert Aussy Chard for the white and WineExpert VCDR for the red (will be ok at 4 to 5 months old).

Also, consider where you are having the reception, ask them asap about supplying your own wine as they may want to charge a corkage fee.

Timescale is what pushed me towards the beaverdale range, they are drinkable quicker.

Good point regarding the corkage fees.

          Beaverdale Chardonnay is not bad.

Beaverdale Barolo is very drinkable too - if you started it soon it'd be good for September (in fact it is drinkable almost immediately).

I know it isn't a dry white or a Chardonnay, but ... Wine Art Riesling is very good, and drinkable almost immediately - less than £30 at the moment from wineworks.co.uk.

Beaverdale Chardonnay made an appearance at my wedding! went down well, meant to do the heron white zin as well (like bob did for the wedding) but never got round to ordering it...
