Not farmilier with this kit but that does sound very low.

I see they boast that it will ferment out in 4 days....if that is the starting SG I am not surprised!

might seem a stupid question ..

did you stir well before you took the sg ?

          I would mix throughly first....
Use your whizz stick for a few minutes, to mix up properly
Insecure people try to make you feel smaller.

Confident people love to see you walk taller

What kind of wine is this kit making, please be a little more specific as I have never heard of this kit, where did you get it! you could up the abv a little higher either way by adding some dissolved sugar.

This kit is distributed by Hambleton Bard....think I would be inclined to contact their customer services to see what they recon, it could be a duff batch.

Nar...Zeb was right on this...not mixed properly, the temperature would not make that much difference.

Or if properly mixed then take you SG immediately after mixing can give you a false reading as there is a lot of bubbles ETC. The fluid suspension is not there. Kind of how if conditions are correct ships can sink the surface tension changes the displacement is greater things sink farther into the fluid.

I made the Cantina Peach Chablis kit, and it was excellent. One thing to note, it is not ready after 5 days. It isn't ready after a week. Leave it for at least 2 months. Trust me on that one.

I've had some good results with Cantina white's. Change the yeast and add some nutrients- (ditch the yeast/ nutrient pack). I'm about to do a red- adding some elderberries and oak to the mix- curious how it will come out.
