Would washing your dirty fermentors or lees etc into a soakaway be ok? would it smell eventually or will they rot away etc? just thinking about all the old yeast etc down there breeding and then taking over the world.

Some people have a hard time keeping yeast alive in a nice warm fermenting vessel, i'm sure a dose of bleach will sort any stink out.National Wine Judge NGWBJ

Oh dude! Gotta pour all the lees and pulp and such on the garden!
Seriously, you can have a drainpipe going into a deep gravel pit, downgrade from your work area. Even just an open trench or ditch filled with gravel will work. I would not rinse any bleach down, will kill beneficial bacteria. Sulphite can be diluted alot easier such as when you rinse out the drain with clean water at the end of the day.
Thoughts?
