Over twenty years ago I bought this unique bit of kit at a county show (Hampshire, I think) and after using it a few times went back to using a wine press - better extraction and less hassle. I've just thought of a new use for it and dug it out of storage to discover the seals had all perished and the valve had seized.
The pulp went into a tough plastic bag from which a tube went to a collection bottle. The bottle was also connected to a bike pump with the valve reversed. Operating the pump created a vacuum in the bottle which then sucked the juice from the pulp.
Now, as I said, I have a use for a vacuum juice extractor but mine's defunct. Anybody got one they don't use?
