I have a quantity of 25lt Black HDPE containers. Do you think that this type of plastic drum would be OK to use as primary fermenting vessels? 
They used to contain Dairy Hypochlorite, a clorine based disinfectant used in the dairy and food industries.
They were rinsed out when emptied, at least 5 years ago, and there is absolutley no smell when opened.
Unless someone tells me different I am not concerned about what they contained but whether the plastic container is suitable.
