  • Wine for friends wedding

I have made the wine for some friends wedding, I have stressed about it all the way along in case it wasn't going to be good enough.

Well they have tasted the wines and like them, and to be honest I'm quite pleased with them too........phew

They have all been labelled and are ready to be delivered to the venue this week for the wedding on Saturday.

Will take photos and post them, I also await the feedback of the guests (eek)

They have a label on the front that has a black and white image of the ancient church they are getting married in, and a label on the back telling everyone that I made it!!! (they insisted!)

I have also added a picture of the labelling "rig" I made which was a great help in getting them all level and straight

Looks great; did you make them from a kit or using grapes?

Went with kits because I only had a six month time frame, but will be giving them grape wines for wedding presents, not to be opened for a year!

They look smart Bob, a bit more space in the brewery now then.. whats next?

Is that the best gadget you could find for putting the labels on, I'd thought you'd have something with more bells and whistles on

Some more bottles would be good, got a 100 bottle wine rack off ebay the other day, 2 miles from the old mans house!

Got the Amarone going in primary, and a petit verdot kit too.. and a couple of the lads I work with have started after drinking mine.

Away this weekend, but hopefully free next Fri, and not in work till Sat eve (22nd), incase thats when the grapes come!

                    May I just add???

                    Beautiful!

I am sure the wine tastes as good as it looks.

                    Congratulations on a fine job!

Lots of nice work there. Clean labels, beautiful clear wine, should be enjoyed by all. Are you going with the heat shrink caps? Cheers DAW

Well I was going to.....even tracked some down that were the same colours as the wedding stationary etc (purple...try finding purple shrink tops!)

but the wines are going to be opened in another room, then brought in to be poured so decided against it (anyone want to but 100 purple shrink caps?)

Might be interested in those Bob, hoping to save a couple of bottles from everything I do for a while, maybe putting a different colour top on them might stop me from opening them accidently

What kit company makes the Mourvedre?

Very generous and kind of you Bob! You da man!

Must be a large wedding! Being your friends, I am sure you advised them against it?
