    Does anone have, or know where I can buy a 25 or 50 litre oak barrel. Preferably used for brandy.
    Gluten free, caffeine free, dairy free, fat free – you gotta love this red wine diet!

                    Wow.. 225litre barrel. That's something I really don't need to be looking at I've no room in the garage as it is!

                      There's a wood yard near Wadhurst that used to keep "nearly new" barrels i.e. used once for red wine, when I looked at them they were in very good nick. Only down side was "industry standard 225 ltr" ..........

                        Yeah 225 litres takes a bit of filling. And 50 litres takes a bit of finding!

                          I have two 50 liter oak barrels. Both were manufactured in France. They were somewhat pricey but you may be privy to a better deal, being part of the EU and all.

                              By the way, cooperages don't always list small format barrels in their catalogues, though most manufacture them. It pays to pick up the phone. I found mine by calling around to some of the French cooperages US offices.
