yup, i mean, no yeast or any de-stemming etc, etc ?
I'm gonna give this a try for sure, been thinking about blending two of the reds and doing one batch natural yeasties with no messing tossed in the barrel, and the other with a quality pitched yeast with the usual tlc, see what happens?

Sorry Bob can't help myself here, is pallettes the Frence name for pallets, as pamphlet is for brochure, I would say "camp" but Hippie would say "strange" lmfao sorry personal humour.

I'd love to try some, but living in Sussex I don't think the distance would be manageable.

Looking like it will be either Fri 7th Sept or Sat 8th sept for pickup of grapes, will confirm midweek what grapes are available.

I will then confirm van hire etc

You all then need to confirm your order with me, and I will go get them.

                  cheers me dears

HHmm - still tempted - it's about 2 hours drive from here to Potters Bar - longer of the M25 decides to play up....

When do you need to know whether I want some?

I almost left at 6am this morning to pick up some grapes, good job I didn't.....they arent there yet....been delayed, 1st pallettes of Ciliegilio will arrive approx 9pm this evening, will talk to Mr H then and see what they are like (brix Nos etc) and decide if I will do a run in the morning

                          anyone for Ciliegilio?

Maybe Bob, if your geting some anyway.. might be better for me than filling up both my barrels with merlot. what do you think? not too fussed, so long as it's red ( and nice!)

I have no experience of this grape at all, all I know is that its related closely to sangiovese, but produces fruity floral wines as compared to the earthier sangiovese.

It would blend well with the Merlot (I think) to perhaps produce a more "interesting" wine, but if you are not sure, then a single varietal vintage may be the best way to go...

                              regards
                              Bob

Maybe not then, we'll just stick to the merlot!

                                Cheers,
