  • Registered but can't post messages?

When you register as a member the software will send you a validation email which contains a link you must use to activate your membership. This is to prevent spammers being able to register on the site. This email sometimes gets blocked by Internet security software, or gets placed in your junk mail folder. (so look there first) If you are having problems with your registration then send an email to bob@winesathome.co.uk

Also as additional security has proved necessary, it means that when you are a new member, you are listed as a "registered user" but you cannot post messages or PM or email using the forum software until you have been moderated to "Forum Member"

If you need this in a hurry then email me at bob@winesathome.co.uk

sorry for the inconvenience, but its a small price to pay to keep the forum porn spam free

    regards
    Bob

    regards
    Bob

I just read the first post in this topic from Bob (Lockwood), hence the reason why you cant post yet.....leave it with Bob he will sort it soon.

              Hmmm...

The fact that we can read the post rather negates the post doesn't it?

              Or is it me?

Do you mean posting a new thread? If so it is a button at the top left of each forum, choose the one that relates to the topic you want to create

I also wondered if he was asking about creating a new "topic" rather than posting to an existing one.

If so, greerso, all you need to do is find the subforum that you want to post in, and there should be a button at the top that says "New Topic." You won't find it at the top level of most forums, because we encourage members to drill down to the level that's most appropriate for their topic.

Sorry, it actually says "New Thread", not "New Topic"

Hello everyone. I am new to this site but have been making wines on and off for years. I first used Marguerite Pattens "Home Made Wines and Drinks" version 1963. It was originally priced at 30p!! Since then I have used CJJ Berry's bible, the 1984 edition.
I am currently conditioning (is that the right word?) 2 gallons of Wurzel's Orange Wine, have just stabilised and am clearing Fruit tea wine and mixed fruit wine from my home bottle fruit. I also have Ribena wine and Apple and Red grape on the go and have just started one using Tesco Exotic fruit.
I look forward to asking for help and I am also looking forward to being part of this boozy community. Sanjo
