        I have purchased an IP webcam, so the whole thing should be broadcast live (if i can get it set up in time)

        without the need to log into messenger or anything like that.

            Well, I have worked out what I'm doing with my 25 boxes ...

            9 boxes white:
            1 gal -> Mrs. Goldseal
            2 gal -> make 1 gal icewine
            5 gal white using D47, of which 2 or 3 gal will be batonnaged in DJs (worked well last year)

            8 boxes red - Sangiovese or Merlot:
            All in 1 fermenter
            After 1 day draw off 1 gal for rosé (D47)
            Start fermenting main batch with K1V
            When racking to secondary, draw off 1 gal for sparkling experiment
            Hopefully 5 gal remaining - ferment out as normal.
            Skins to be used on 2nd run - light strawberry/raspberry wine (ideal for BBQs etc)

            8 boxes red - Cilegiolo (I hope)
            All in 1 fermenter
            After 1 day draw off 1 gal for rosé (D47)
            Start fermenting main batch with K1V
            When colour is right, rack off 1 gal for experimental rosé port
            Hopefully 5 gal remaining - ferment out as normal.
            Skins to be used on 2nd run - concentrate from Cantina red kit.

            Decent plan, do you think?

                Looks like a good plan Pete, except 1 Day on the skins will likely be too much, I drew ofdf the juice from the cilieguilio after 30 minutes contact time, and the colour was fab

                  The Sangiovese was great after a day last year. However, I'll check before I leave yours on sunday and maybe draw it off then.

                    Bear in mind...we may not have sangiovese this year

                    However the cilieguilio is in fact a derivative of Sangiovese, but with more fruitiness

                      Right.....Definately coming!

                      Have sent you a PM Bob, am definately coming, and am also going to 'dip my toe in the water' as regards grape wine making!

                      I know you've posted it somewhere already, but i'm being a bit dense and can't find it- can you post your postcode please Bob, ready for navigational purposes!!

                      Looking forward to meeting you all - should be fun!

                      Dave

                      PS - Can i reserve a place in the back garden, am bringing my little utility tent with me to sleep in, unless it's raining, in which case i'll sleep in the car (love my little Vauxhall Meriva, seats fold right down to give you a superb amount of space!)

                          Panic!

                          Still wading through a sea of elderberries, haven't sanitised my fermenters, need to find a pair of jeans, laptop is on the blink, need to find some wine to bring for 'evaluation', stuff everywhere ......

                          (for those who are wondering what the fuss is about, I have to leave at 10am Friday )
