Ok. I'll have a think about it, if i was to go it would be better for me to go straight to the vineyard from here as it saves about 100 miles each way.

It doesn't work the same way as getting grapes from Brian......

these will be picked and dumped into big boxes and carted oop north for processing, you can't just pick up a few lbs...we are buying direct from the grower this time.... and he is harvesting 13 acres

        regards

Yes the Grower is piicking them, I looked at possibilities of us picking them, but it just isnt do-able at this point, and logistically I cant pick the grapes up, as it would take three trips in a van, and the distance prohibits that.

Grapes will be crushed, destemmed and pressed, then work out how much per gallon it costs, lengthy process to determine preice, and im afraid it wont be exact till its finished, so you could be looking at anywhere from £6 to £10 pergallon of juice, not having gone this route before, im just not sure how it will all pan out.

That's frustrating - grapes picked 45 minutes away, then transported 3 hours away!

Can't (and won't) complain though - flogging some to us is just introducing more hassle for you, so again we are grateful to you for putting yourself out for us

I suppose you'll be wanting a hand to crush/press the grapes then ....

Why do you lot insist on growing grapes hundreds of miles away?

                      Sounds interesting though.

                            Well......

I'm thinking we will arrive in a minibus and a van.....

minibus for bodies, van for grapes/juice

                            can we process on site?

I will happily personally commit to at least one ton of grapes (500 to 600 litres of juice) please PM me so we can discuss price per ton (variable according to sugars!)

                            best regards
                            Bob

Why not just get JTFB to bring his lorry along for us all?
