Wine from grapes is alright, but nothing beats the proper stuff to make wine with.

Nothing at the moment - I'm 100 miles away.

I hope Ms.G has punched down the cap on the one remaining 2nd run (Merlot skins + strawberry/raspberry).

I have a horrible feeling it will need racking now, so I might have to do that when I get home tonight

I have a couple of sg's to do on a couple of 5 gallon buckets of fruit tea wines. I must take the plums out of the freezer to sulphite.

I visited a friend after work today, and as such came home a different way.
So I found a couple new very heavy with fruit elderberry trees
I also manage to pick 600g of blackberries.

I really need to bottle, to start more... but work is getting in the way of a well needed bottling frenzy

Nothings happening in my winery at the moment

I'm too busy working on my dissertation (60,000 words) for my degree. However, it has to be in by the end of this month then watch this space!

I thought you'd been a bit quiet, good luck with the dissertation, I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end.

Racked Wine No.1 + Merlot skins (now ex - Merlot skins) to DJs

Fruit Merlot (skins + strawberry + raspberry) now in a Better Bottle

Ciliegiolo - 1 DJ sugar fed (for port)

                            Black Cherry kit - ditto

I've got 2 gallons of Gooseberry glaring at me that need racking, but to be honest I can't face it today, so they'll have to wait for the weekend I think!

Understandable. I've heard Gooseberries have quite a temper.
