      A new thread maybe with Grapefest 2010 fermentations? so we can all list our figures and what we're doing? easy to reference in the future.

      Edit: could the wide variation in sg's be due to different temperatures maybe?

      • I wouldn't have thought temperature would make that much difference.

        My TAs are similar to yours:

        Monte: 4.0
        Merlot: 3.8

        • I'm going to aim for 7 g/l Tartaric in both, so I'm adding 23g tartaric to 5 gals Merlot and 16g tartaric to 4 gals Monte.

          Also adding 448g sugar to Monte to bring it up to around 1.090
