I was expecting a similar reaction to uttering the word 'Jehovah' in The Life Of Brian

You're right, though - there are plenty of threads and OT posts on it.

Oh, and before you ask, NO, I'm busy

Ditto. I don't have video setup, though. So anything non-video that I can do from my location.

                      OK boys

How about leading a discussion in the chat room on some aspect of winemaking?

                      that would be nice

we also need to set a date for the next VWC meeting, far enough away to give people plenty of time to organise their attendance...any ideas on dates (pref not last weekend if Feb Martina is here that weekend)

We have quite a few newbie new members so perhaps we should cover some of the basics?

feel free to chip in here you new guys as to what you would like to discuss in the chat room

That's a good idea Bob. Never hurts to recap basics. I would be happy to lead a chat on ... something. I'll give it some thought.

I'd like to avoid Fri & Sat evenings if possible - I'll be travelling to/from racetracks on every one until mid-March

I also think going over the basics would be an excellent choice. Could possibly delve into what will keep a wine in balance, cleaning and sanitation.
