That looks nice and tidy, hopefully mine will be as tidy as that eventually.

Been sowing seeds today and potted up some of the 4 for £5 fruit bushes from Lidl last night All ready for transplanting outside when I've done a bit more digging.

i'm really excited for you, this spring will be the first birthday of many trees/bushes we planted out last year. i enjoyed last year, and will enjoy this year even more i think. so you have plenty of joy coming your way! i know that no specialist knowledge is required to get uber fruit, just a good tree. our victoria plums were the best (BY FAR) that we have ever, i mean ever, tasted. enjoy! now we just need to keep them healthy ... help where's the specialists

Ok, took some updated pics yesterday.

First things first, the vines.... small wall base in yorkshire stone and then 1 ton of stone chippings on top.

I thought to give you a scale of what I have done so far a before & after picture... the WHOLE garden was like the bottom of the picture, now there's just that bit left to do 'serious' work on

But it's not all unhappy and hard work... I have things showing visible growth. yay.

I didn't think the blueberry would grow....but there's buds on it, which makes me happy.

The larger of the three rhubarb plantings came from my parents, in a pot, and I thought it was dead, but now it's been in the ground just over 2 weeks. The smaller ones were planted yesterday.

Now I have to decide what to do with the wall at the back, I'm thinking of trying to grow figs against it.

I also got a white current, can't wait to see what it does, I've heard it makes a decent white We've decided to call him Norman.

All in all I think it's shaping up pretty nicely, should keep me in winemaking ingredients

Why have you only given Norman a name ?
The other plants must be soooo sad

Cause Norman's special and I expect great things of him, he cost me the most money. The others will get names when they're proved themselves

All the vines have tiny buds on them, everything else is growing like wild fire. Happy. :-)

Bob's vines collected on Thursday all in place, all the vines have small buds on them, so they're obviously happy. Top wires all in place for hanging netting from.

A spare vine that wouldn't fit in will be trained along the back fence where it'll also get plenty of sun.

I was bought a Cab Sauv & a Sauv Blanc vine as a present today, so they've gone in along the back wall, the blueberry, red gooseberry & raspberry plants were given a new home.

One of the trees that blocks a bit of the light to that area out will be coming out next week Hopefully with the fab summer promised these will flourish. They appear to be two year olds as far as I can tell.
