  • Freezing Elderflowers?

Can I freeze Elderflowers to use at a later date? Has anyone done this successfully or does anyone know why it won't work?

    Doh!

Just read the thread freezing flowers and answered my own question.

You could also make elderflower cordial, another way to conserve elderflowers

Thanks for the reply Bob but with a new addition to the family I'm struggling to find the time to do anything at present. I didn't want to miss out on the Elderflowers that are around now but was hoping to store them until I do have more time.

I may just have to make some time over the weekend.

A question. Having done the "leave flower heads in bag for 24hrs and then shake to remove flowers" and got about 3 litres of just flowers, I was wondering what sort of volume should be added to a wine no.1 as a late addition?
