Pete - thats a tragedy. Maybe the rain will mean it gets cancelled?

I will definitely be there. Have a panic on at the moment due to winery capacity limits imposed by my 'local authority'.

How can we help with the talks etc Bob? I suppose we need to know the general interest and experience levels of those attending (and who is attending). A tasting / faults talk would always be good. Ian's steam juicer usage went down a treat - what about vacuum racking as an equipment based alternative. Maybe you/Paul/Richard could do one on the the steps to becoming a wine judge?

I am even going to keep a couple of days holiday if I can to make sure I can make it !!
Insecure people try to make you feel smaller.

Confident people love to see you walk taller

LOL! To be fair Rob, what with the Euro's and the Olympics, it seems this summer is literally flying by!!!

GF will be here before we know it!!!

                    That's very true Dave!

Next summer will be rather dull compared to this year. We will only have the agony of watching Murray not win Wimbledon again.

Have the government not paid the electric bill or something. Olympics starts, out come the (long awaited) sun but as soon as it is over the sun goes in !!

£9 billion doesn't go very far these days. A couple of stadiums and a pop concert with a few old dinosaurs and there are no more 50p pieces for the electric meter left

Is there any clue as to the likely grape varieties yet ?

No real news yet - still quite early. Prices 'should' be close to last year.

The usual suspects. Subject to availability.

                                • Montepulciano
                                • Sangiovese
                                • Trebbiano (only white)
                                • Giliegiolo
                                • Merlot (my favorite)
                                • Tempranillo (sometimes available)
                                • Grenache
                                • Primitivo (sometimes - get it if you can)

                                More news next week.
