  • New Hives Installed

We just put bee packages in our new hives yesterday. Next year we should be making mead with our own fruit and our own honey. We marked each hive with a different pattern so the bees wouldnt drift to another hive. We are also hosting 7 other hives from a local bee enthusiast who is helping us get started.

I wonder if your honey will have an elderflower nose?

I can't just pop round to scrounge a bucket of honey can I.....

Ha! Enough of the smartarsed comments. Good on ya!, should make for a few tasty mels......

Lockwood, they dont seem to hang around the elderflowers very much, I though they would but something else must be blooming that they like better.
