  • Help identify Grape Variety

My sister has a number of grape vines, that produce black wine grapes.
Can anybody identify the variety for me ... if I know what they are I can turn them into appropriate wine type.

    Hi there

    Welcome to the forum

It is very difficult to tell just from the pics.

when were they planted? up till recently Black Hamburgh was the most widely planted (noin commercial) grape

    best bet?

make wine and see how it turns out.

Wait till the seeds go brown before harvesting to ensure sugar levels are high enough.

    regards

They were in the greenhouse when my sister bought the place several years ago.
      The grapes are blue/black.
They have to be picked now as they are starting to go past best.
Picked 28Lb yesterday, now in a must.
