  • Grapefest 2013 Fresh Grape order

Due to demand for fresh grapes we are going to offer them as well as the frozen option.

Because we are going later in the Season it is likely that there will be no ciliegiolo, and the sangiovese might be finished by then.

The varietals that should be available are:

    Trebbiano
    Merlot
    Montepulciano
    Shiraz
    Garnacha (Grenache)
    Tempranillo
    Primitivo (Zinfandel)

I spoke with the supplier this evening and he is investigating costs, they should be under £8 a box plus delivery costs, but he will give us a better idea when we have firm numbers. He might be able to organise delivery, but if not, we will need volunteers to pick grapes up.

Please indicate as soon as you can what your order numbers and varietals will be (also offer a second varietal option if your first isn't available.)

Everyone will need to lend a hand with clean up of crusher and press and the crush area. It is a pain to do it, but if everyone mucks in it will work.

    OK chaps and chapesses

Please would you indicate here your varietal choice and number of boxes required for fresh grape.(give a 2nd choice if possible)

I am away for a little while at the end of the week, so would like to know before I went if possible

    regards

      I'll go for:

      6 boxes Primitivo
      6 boxes Shiraz
      4 boxes Tempranillo

In any unavailable, Monte and Merlot (in that order) please !

This IS subject, to change, and probably WILL change during this week (apologies in advance)

Here's mine - decided to plump for fresh

        6 boxes Primitivo
        6 Boxes Tempranillo

If any unavailable, then, as per Pete - Monte, Merlot (in that order)

        Ma Tuchly ;o)

If I can't make it up in time for crushing, please sort and I will pick up once I eventually get there!

6 merlot, or shiraz, or temp.

Or, if I did seven boxes would I still get them in 2 x 5 gallon buckets?

It might be tight. If they were 33l buckets (i.e. 5 gallon-kit-plus-headspace) you'd probably be fine, but 25l (5 gallon with very little headspace) would be marginal IMO.
