  • Old pressure barrel

My friend came to me the other day with the top off an ancient pressure barrel he has found. At least 35 years old. I have never seen anything like it. 1240800_10151917041476974_1824448005_o.jpg1370761_10151917041371974_715167909_o.jpg

I am guessing the inlet valve takes an S30, but the underside of the cap is not like any I have seen before. One of the valves on top must be a pressure release valve, but what's the other? Would he be better getting a new 4" top as, apart from the O ring. I can't see any way of adding new seals/rubbers to make an old barrel servicable. We are intrigued, not being tight!

Well, the S30 worked and the barrel held pressure, which amazed us! Only tried it with water just to be safe.
