Hello all,
I just joined this forum and have lived in Los Angeles, California,USA all my life. I did my intro but I thought it might be interesting for some of you to get a glimpse of wine history of Los Angeles where I live. I thought I new a lot about Los Angeles and the southwest but this article was real news to me.
Hope you enjoy.

I used to cycle up and down the LA river down to Long beach to view the spruce goose and the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

this area right outside LA was full of wine groves but first became widely known since the original Tarzan movies were filmed there.

Mount Wilson was first explored in a search for oak for wine barrels.

Lastly, The San Gabriel Mission, one of many up and down the coast of California had numerous vineyards as they were planted by priests for sacramental wine.
This is just an extended introduction to your forum
