  • Blackberry Pectolase Problem

    Hello everyone,

    I made a batch of Blackberry wine, filtered with a vinbrite filter and it wasn't clear, then i remembered i hadn't put any pectolase in at the beginning.
    If you hold the bottles up to the light you can see straight though them, but on the bench they just look muddy.
    Is it too late for these bottles, or can i add pectolase for a while then clear/filter them again?

    You can need add pectolase at this stage, pop them back in a dj and add that way, ensuring all is well before bottling again.

    filtering is for polishing already clear wine ( I'm sure you knew that but just in case you didn't)

      Thanks Lockwood, I did know, I think I just had a crazy day after a 12 hour shift. Nevermind, but thats great news that i can add the pectolase, thanks again for the very valuable information!
