I love a zesty orange wine.
Im just trying to decide on which recipe would be best out of the following. Ill probably make all three, but what are peoples opinion as to what would be best? Adding 6 oranges adds just over half a litre of orange, so the first two would contain 1L orange after the 6 oranges, and the third wine 1.5L.
I am wondering whether 1.5L would be too much. If I go for recipe 1 or 2, I am thinking that the synergy of the apple and grape of recipe 1 may be better then the straight 2L grape in recipe 2?! Thoughts wanted!!! (All recipes for a UK gallon, giving a wine of approx 11% abv).
1) 500ml Orange Juice,
1L Apple Juice
1L White Grape Juice

Add Late:
Juice and zest (no white) of 6 oranges.
2) 500ml Orange Juice,
2L White Grape Juice
550g Sugar

3) 1L Orange Juice,
1L White Grape Juice
670g Sugar
