    You mean 0.995? that isn't dry,(0.990 is dry) but it might be as dry as it will go....

    has the reading remained the same for several days in a row?

      that was my first reading . the air lock is still getting bubles pass through but very slowly.i just wasnt sure wat dry sg reading was ment to be i will take another reading to day and see if it changes . thanks for your help.

        If there is airlock activity then it is still fermenting.....

        Wait for it to stop fermenting, then check the SG, at 0.995 you are nearly there.....patience young padawan
