Wines at Home

Welcome to!

Wines at home was launched towards the end of 2005 as a place for winemakers old and new to discuss all things wine, it was felt that it was important that the site be user friendly, where new winemakers would be encouraged and helped along the path to better wines. We invite new members to feel free to ask questions, never fearing ridicule, we all start somewhere and we all make mistakes. the only silly the one you didn't ask!

Virtual Wine Circle & Competition

What's happened to wine circles in the UK?  Our answer to that is that most people find their information on the internet in forums, stricter driving enforcements which hinder attendance at wine circles, the thought of stuffy old men and women in ties and frocks poo-pooing someone’s wines (i.e. intimidation),and oftentimes the lack of knowledge that a wine circle in their area even exists may be some reasons why wine circles in the traditional sense seem to be deteriorating in the UK.

Do you want to join a no-frills, informative and fun wine circle that you don't have to leave home for? Do you want an unbiased opinion on your wines? Then click on the link below to find out more information!
