    • I'm surprised you two boys are still in the land of the living after that marathon.

      How're the heads?

      • I'm tired but basically intact, thanks.

Rich looked a bit secondhand though. He was well enough to get his Enolmaic and Minijet to work on a couple of my wines.

After I took that photo I found at least that number of bottles again!

A truly excellent evening. Rich makes some very nice wines. I recommend the Lychee (recipe somewhere on this Forum).

Problem is, I now NEED an enolmatic

              • It can't be Karl's influence, He's the responsible one, isn't he? That leaves Bob.

My head had nearly recovered, and I'm being sensible tonight, and only finishing off the open bottles.

I've just taken the Vacuvin out of this one, ready to start again

The acid (1/2tsp in 1/2 bottle) has improved it IMO but it has a lemony tang now. Maybe tartaric would be better.

                  Still a nice drop though

                    • Fresh bottle of Lychee opened to go with the Chinese takeaway. Mother in law making her way through the Montepulciano.

Glad the 07 Treb is ok now Pete

                        • Well ...

We had the neighbours round this evening and ploughed through most of the stuff Rich left:

Grenache rosé - disappeared rapidly. A good summer barbeque wine.

Elderflower and grape - I liked it, but a little too sweet for some.

Elderflower and apple - a little drier and sharper. Went down well with everyone.

Raspberry Merlot - Man of the Match. Where do I get this from then?

                              Paul at Brewgenie.

That one had a bit more sugar in to get it up to 11% or so, it tastes a bit smoother without it.

                              Glad you liked it
