  • wild hops

Guys I was collecting blackberries close to home the other day and have discovered hops growing along a fence.
I normally only brew beer from kits so I was wondering if it would be worth while picking these hops

certainly worth a try...what do they smell like?

you would need to boil your brew once all the water was added with the hops in for around 1 1/2 hours... so you will lose some to evaporation, but you may get a yummy addition via the hops.

Dry hopping is an option, but I'm afraid I dont know too much about it right now

    regards

Yes most certainly. Spread your hops on a screen and air dry or if you have a dehydrator do that then put them into freezer bags with the locking type top and freeze them. These will make fine hops to add for flavoring use rated hops for your bittering and use these as a dry hop you will be impressed with the results for sure.
