  • Slaymaker's Black Adder aka Guinness Clone #2

After my first success I have tried again and I am very pleased with the results.

    Recipe this time was:
    1 lb Roasted Barley (cracked)
    1 lb Flaked Barley
    7 lb Pale Malt (crushed)

Mashed with 3 gallon of water at 152F (170F strike temp) and teaspoon of Gypsum for around 8 hours.

Batch sparged this time with another 3 gallon at 170F

Boiled for 90 mins with 28g Brewers Gold and 42g Northern Brewer

and when cool pitched in Safale 04.

SG was 1046 and FG was 1016 so around 4% vol

And a very tasty tipple too.
