  • Hop head

This is not the normal 'ouch I have a bad head' thread. More a quest for understanding from a maker.

I had just two pints on Oakham's Inferno the other night and woke up with a mild headache.

This is the second time this has happened. Now I will confess I am not am 18 pints man , however two is takeing the p.

My old speckled brewed from grain and 5.5 with a bigger flavour - I am absolutely fine.

Conversations have lead to "its the hop oils" - does anyone know anything about this?

Any thoughts - I don't think this is usual hangover territory.

A lot of headache issues in red wine are due to the high presence of amines, a lot of which are produiced by higher fermentation tremperatures, I am not sure if this is the same with beers?
