    hey all

    can i test the strenght of a beer/lager after it is brewed (ready to drink) ?

    if so can anybody tell me how ?

    sorry mate not possible, unless you have gadgets not available to the rest of us homebrewers, unless you have starting and finishing gravity readings (ie: sugar content)then no. you could however try the drink and fallover method which works well for most of us.

      thanks for that duff, i have got the gear but didnt take a reading


      will have to try the drink and fall over method

            If it was a kit, they often give a range of what the SG of the wort should be, you could take that and the gravity now. Won't be bang on, but as long as you followed the instructions (volume of water and added sugar) it will give you a good idea, then you can er confirm that by applying the drink and fall over rule!
