  • Are these vines any good for wine?

Hi all. I was at a local garden centre yesterday and noticed they had about a dozen decent sized vines (in perfect health) reduced from £29.99 to only £5. The variety is a white grape called "Van der laan". Will these be any good for winemaking as if they are i'll grab one or two?

Other wise known as "Vitis Vinifera" yes they are good for wine.
White coloured, fruity continental grape. Very hardy and easy to grow, will fruit readily in all areas of the UK, particularly if in a sunny sheltered position.

Or Vitis vinifera Black Alicante - Black Grape Vine.
This vine produces good quality dark blue fruit, and is an excellent cropper.
