Well despite next doors 11 cats living in my garden, the birds have stripped all the madeleine angevine grapes. they weren't even ripe yet...(6 vines and they were carrying a heavy crop)

will need to net the rest, went looking for netting this morning, but nobody seems to have any in stock

will need to attend to it tomorrow morning (might sleep in the vineyard tonight)

I can empathise totally! And, I could do with one of them guns, we currently have rat(s) stealing veggies.

Council vermin man is currently overwhelmed so might have to take matters into my own hands.

Are you certain it's the birds and not the neighbors? Birds don't usually go after unripe berries.
