Is anyone going to "chuck em in " as they are (in bunches) and see how they go ??
yup, i mean, no yeast or any de-stemming etc, etc ?
I'm gonna give this a try for sure, been thinking about blending two of the reds and doing one batch natural yeasties with no messing tossed in the barrel, and the other with a quality pitched yeast with the usual tlc, see what happens?
Oh, and the guy says we can have them delivered up here if we take 10 pallettes (all of the same grape)
Yikes thats 1,004 boxes
so who's gonna take the spare 4 boxes next year then Bob ? were gonna struggle there Maybe have to delay the delivery unless we can stretch to an extra box each

Maybe Bob, if your geting some anyway.. might be better for me than filling up both my barrels with merlot. what do you think? not too fussed, so long as it's red ( and nice!)
I have no experience of this grape at all, all I know is that its related closely to sangiovese, but produces fruity floral wines as compared to the earthier sangiovese.
It would blend well with the Merlot (I think) to perhaps produce a more "interesting" wine, but if you are not sure, then a single varietal vintage may be the best way to go...
regards
Bob
