Finally we hit 70F yesterday today supposed to get there today again. Local radio announced yesterday coldest April since records have been kept BRRRR. But my hops are peeking out soon time to put up twine.

Opened a bottle of the Montepulciano, drinking it now, it really is smoothing out nicely, in two years or so, this will be fantastic stuff.

Keep meaning to bottle a dj of this, then you go posting it'll be good in 2 years! really must rack it and sulphite it again this month.

I'm planning on racking and bottling 54 litres of the 2nd run (done on the magnum ultimate kit) today....

although it will be fab in 3 years, it is very drinkable now

I had 2 pints of the Monte first run kicking about so I decided to stick it in a bottle and drink whats left. Wow, this stuff has really changed . A bottle will be going to Telford.

The bottle that went to the Telford show came 5th (VHC) and a bottle from the second run came 3rd at Scarborough, things are looking very promising, cheers.

I entered a bottle in the Lincolnshire Federation show, it didn't let me down and got a commended (6th place). Very consistant but about a year or so from being great. I still might enter a bottle in the Ponte show though.

Any of you other 07 montipulciano guy's tried this lately ?
I bottled a gallon today and it is outstanding, 15 months old and well on par with some good commercials, this will be awesome in another 12 to 18 months.
