Prompted by Scott (happymondays) post and PM to me, about finding a decent supplier of honey in Lancashire, I decided to make more of an effort to find somewhere local to me.
I eventually found Paynes. I've had a look through their selection, which seems wide enough for me to make plenty of different meads.
I suspect I might start with one of the clover honey's but as they even have Australian Eucalyptus honey (yes I know about your advice in this respect Bob ), I might even try that - though I think I'll probably keep it well away from everything else - and probably not try it until I've done some test batches of all the others.
Still they seem to have a good enough range for what I want and they don't seem too badly priced.
