Last Saturday I started a Wine #1, being careful to follow the steps closely

Welcome aboard, have a look at the resources section in the winemaking bit, some good reading material in there (free )

              • Glad to see I'm not the only one who found nettles to be foul. It's a shame as I like the idea of picking free ingredients, but I suppose there's a lot more options around. I'm hoping the elderberry turns out well.

Man that's a lot of reading material here! I'm getting the impression this wine making thing can be a lot more complicated than I thought!

                  • Hi and welcome
It can be complicated, but it can also be really simple.

Try wine no1 from the new winemakers series

                    It tastes great too!

                    Regards

                    • Hi, all! I am new to the forum, but not new to winemaking, having made various fruit wines and mead variants over the past 28 years or so. I am pleased to be part of such a collegial group!
