My name is Hal Maulden. I live in NW Georgia, in a town called Cartersville. I make lots of high end kit wines and many fruit wines. I am a chemist by trade, so I get into lots of the testing aspects. Look forward to talking with all you guys.
testing stuf is not so common here, SO2 test kits are almost impossible to find (got one eventually though hurrah!) but very difficult to read for red wines
look forward to you sharing your expertise here

I noticed this is a UK forum, but at the risk of being unwelcome I joined anyway. I few personal items. My wife and I make wine at home in Oakland California, mostly from grapes grown by friends in their vinyards or purchased from regional wineries.
We belong to a club that features amature and pro winemakers, so we learned a tremendous amount pretty quickly. We make both stone fruit and grape wines. Several of our wines have won medals in competitions, including 2 golds for 2 entries at the Winemaker Magazine International competition last year.
Hi All, my name is Bill Benedetti,I live in middle Ga, I have been making wine for about 4 years now. I enjoy making Country wines, and a kit wine every now and then. Glad to see a few members I know here.

On Hippie's advice I've entered this site. I'm retired, living in So. La and make country wines only. Never have made a kit wine...maybe I'll give it a try one day.
