                  • Hello all!

Lurked for a bit as I do on all forums I want to join (to make sure theres plenty of insane types)

I am 38 and made wine many years ago thanks to my dad, but after a long break and a short return to brewing my own beer for the last few months I realise my tastes have changed and maybe matured ()
So a concerted effort at my favourite wines again during the cold months.

I have already done a few, a Blueberry Blush, a Chardonnay kit, and a few on the go, but country wines and fruit wines is where my heart lies.

I might also admit, grudgeinly, that old Fearnly Whitingstall may have piqued my interest again also.

Anyway, its nice to stop lurking, and hello.

                    • Welcome KevP As you have noticed plenty of insanity but a good amount of excellent wine brewing information as well.

                      • Welcome KevP. Glad to see you out of the bushes and into the open

If it's madness you're after, this is definitely the place to be.

                            Hi KevP

I love Fearnley Whittingstall, although the river cottage spring series, he seems to have "sold out" but the first series were great....

                            welcome aboard and happy vintning

                            regards

                            • I watched the River Cottage thing last night and was again horrified at the lack of sterlisation and general bad brewing practise shown when he made Dandelion & Burdock beer and Elderflower chapmagne.

I know that my ex boss followed the Elderflower recipe and blew her garage up (of course I didn't find that in the least bit funny when she told me.... ) but if it's brought another brewer back to the fold, then that's a good thing!

Welcome aboard KevP and good luck.

                              • Yes, we watched the Spring-Cottage edition and I was quite sad. He totally went commercial! I wished that he would have done the "from your garden to your kitchen" - but the beginning ones are great. Bob and I spent one complete day just watching the DVDs.

Tonight - I can't wait! We're going to be watching Oz and Clarke's Wine adventure (I think it's called)
