And your buddy from Grapefest? It's been aging enough for a trial!
Get him to join through email, through you, through the forum, through facebook or through twitter. We're covered, he can't hide!!!! (We also have pictures of him from Grapefest.... we could use it as blackmail!!!!)

this isn't a competition in the traditional sense....you arent competing against others, it is simply a means to get an expert evaluation of your wine, and detailed feedback....
win win win win win situation if you ask me
go on John, you'd be a mug to pass it up

This is going to be even a nicer, larger, and more exciting VWC comp! We've been practically flooded with responses from the homebrew shops from around the UK, Northern Ireland and Scotland supporting us! Thanks!
I'm not going to list the numbers, yet, but if we keep this up, we might need a LOT of judges!!!
I'm so excited!

Personally I would love to enter, but it is virtually impossible to ship wine out of the US unless A) you are a licensed wine shipper and registered with UPS/FedEx, and B) you fill out a ream of paperwork.
One could always try to sneak it past US customs. I did, but happened to get caught. After going back and forth with the blithering idiots at UPS, they finally refunded my money (£60) in the end. They were also quick to point out that they didn't have to refund my money.
Not to be a killjoy, but based on my own experiences/headaches, I would be inclined to tell anyone on this side of the pond to beware trying to ship homemade wine overseas.
