Hi chaps,
I built a small man cave a few years ago (single skin breeze block) I slated the roof to keep it fitting with the area but it leaks a little so I am going to heighten the pitch and fit marley concrete tiles. The next stage will be tanking the floor and insulating with ceiling,walls and floor with kingspan.
Its built into the side of my raised garden so one wall has 8feet of soil banked up against it, another has a 2 foot concrete wall against it and the other sides are sheltered. Its north facing so stays pretty cool. In the summer it does get warm but I think the insulation should balance that out.
Its only a 3mx2.5m space and I have my tools and stained glass area in there also. Its a tight squeeze but I have no other option.
Has any body insulated there shed etc and how have your temps been?
