Meza Luna red tonight, second run on last years grapes. Not too bad, still slightly harsh but that might be it's not warmed up yet.

So today, as punishment for doing a third run on the grapefest grapes I thought I should begin to clear my backlog of wine, in date order. Thanks to my bag-in-box purchase today (not wasting the corks).
Currently drinking a veeeeeeeerrrry sweet and ever so slightly oxidised wine no 1. It was the very first wine I made from scratch and has been sat under airlock of about a year and a half.
If the memory bank serves me... I believe this was started somewhere aroung 1.115.
But actually, I'm rather surprised, it's not that bad.
I shall be inflicting it on the people of Pontefract wine circle tonightWith Grape flavour comes grape responsibility

Just opened a bottle of Barefoot Merlot courtesy of a knock down price of just over £4 in Waitrose! Apparently it was a Gold Medal winner in 2010 in the West Coast Wine Competition. Its a nice smooth chewy and fruity number straight out of the bottle. Yum to me!A day without wine is a day without sunshine!
