  • Mine seems to be fading, which is good. Last time it lasted from mid-Nov to mid-Jan.

        • Tonight, I've opened a bottle of chilled Pacific Quartet. From this years WE ltd editions.

The last bottle was good. This is brilliant.. I've also got the last kit from Hop and Grape on it's way to may. So, I've another 30 bottles of PQ to make

If anyone is interested.. H&G have 1 left of the Australian Reisling Ltd Ed too. I just couldn't afford to get both. Patsy was very patient with my questions on the phone today

I have 3 gallons of #2 on the go

One started on the 2nd, one on the 4th and one today

BTW, Do you ever use the corks with the plastic tops?? Do you know if they're reusable?

                • T corks with the plastic tops are reusable, just sanitize them before use.

/rich now ducks for cover, incase he's been doing it wrong.. i've reused mine a few few times. My Mum gets a gallon bottled in half bottles with T corks every so often.

                      Good stuff
                      Keep Fermenting

I used the plastic corks the first time I made wine... quite a few years ago ..

But since I have taken it up again, more seriously, I haven't...
But the equipment wasn't so readily available to me then, so had to use them allegedly

As Rich says, as long as they have been sanitised, you can reuse them

                          • Having a glass of 3-yr port made from the backyard grapes.

I think it's pretty good. The wife's not too sure. A couple of sips later, she now says she's "slightly impressed."
