A bit of a cheese and wine night here...
A few friends over....
Started with the Rhubarb and Raspberry...
Nice... but needs a few months mellowing
Then had a friends Zinfandel Blush
Then a SB and a PG... chai maison .....to try..............
Both very nice ...
Also tried the ffffftttt Chianti , the Beaverdale Chateau Du Roi... and the Merlot
The Elderberry and Blackberry was also tried by the hardy... but deemed "too young"
A good night seems to have been had by all...
And those who "forgot" items will be returning to pick them up, at "brunch time" later todayInsecure people try to make you feel smaller.

Eggy Shiraz...
Tested on my house mate, who has now tested a lot of my homemade wine
Didn't prep him at all on what might be wrong with it.
No taste of eggs, maybe a slightly odd smell when first poured, maybe metalic? But then it was ok shortly after. Well, the whole bottle went between us, and we didn't need to open the back up bottle!

Magnum+. That's a bog-standard Magnum red kit, made as a second run with Sangiovese skins form Grapefest 08.
Light and fruity - this will be a great summer barbeque red.
The problem is, no amount of it will blank out **!!!!&king Ant and &&&***king Dec, who are infecting my telly at the moment. What a waste of blood.Pete the Instructor

With my current weekend country tour, I'm stopping at my friends near Birmingham airport, Tonight we've had a Winexpert Temp/Cab Sav and just at the end of a Kenridge Syrah/viogner. Both very good now they're a bit older.
Spendid evening, steak and red wine, sat in front of an open fire Just ready to crack open some port later on.
