  • Magnum+

This is a post-Grapefest concoction: a Magnum kit with Sangiovese skins. It is really coming along well, still quite a light red, but now it seems to have developed some tannins sonehow.

      • Tonight, I am having a variation on wine #2...

Though, variation is quite a loose term for this wine

2 cartons of cranberry/blackcurrant, 1 carton of cranberry/raspberry, 1 carton of pineapple, and 5 cartons of red grape, was used for 3 gallons ....

I had bought some of the ingredients whilst they were on offer. But they had been in my cupboard too long ... so I had to use them before the best before date was up.

Its kind of like omlette night in my house....everything goes into the omlette, before it goes off.

Maybe I should call it "Omlette Wine"

                        • Beaverdale Barolo. This one has survived almost 6 months without being drunk

                          Excellent value-for-money quaffing wine.

                            Already? it's only 1815!

i thought it was just me being the alcoholic..

Winexpert Barolo tonight for us, along with a cottage pie

This too is quite aged now, and tasting very good. I think it's one of the last bottles

                                I'll be the kettle.

Pie was good, wine bottle was empty.. so now got a bottle of Temp/cab sav open. Winexpert Ltd from last year? needs a bit longer to age I think. Seems promising though.
