it needs some more degassing, but Im leaving some CO2 in to give it a little fruit lift, as it is going up against some commercial wines

Got into a session with a mate of mine, the other night, with the turbo .... don't do it

No, don't do it. It wasn't until the next morning we realised we were drinking the equiv of pints of wine (9%) ... quickly, very quickly ... it was lovely though, as so is this.

Peach & pinapple for me this evening, medium dry finish, wonderful bouquet, very good indeed for 6 weeks old.

Tonight we're enjoying a 2008 Treb from the grapefest grapes. It's dropped a few crystals in the bottom, but is still quite sharp, and tasty. Maybe not a good choice to have with pizza but it's good. The wife gives it a thumbs up too.

We're having some fellow winemaking friends over to dinner tonight, so I'm making lamb rib chops on the grill, along with a wild mushroom risotto. We're also having a bottle of my 2007 Sonoma Pinot Noir (from fresh grapes).

Our friends are bringing the dessert: chocolate cake and a red chili wine (as in the pepper, not the country).



I hope the weather holds. We were planning to eat on the patio but it's starting to cloud up.

I haven't made this for about 2 or 3 months....
As I seem to be making kit wines and other stuff.. ect ect ect..

But this wine numbre one is really lovely
