      My excuse is that I like a "digestif" post-prandial

        Got friends here tonight, trying most of the homemade wine.

        Also the homemade black sambuca, fox's darks with 40% liqued as per biggles' recipe!!

        Wife in bed, baby with mates wife, seems happy so far!

                        What you should do is have a cupboard in a creepy cellar and forget all about the wines in it!

                        Mind, it did teach me that aging certainly is a good thing to do with wines. I don't remember the bottle I drank about 6 months in to the process being as good.

                              I'm on the last furlong to being healthy again...just got released from hospital so i think tonight i need some stonkingly good red wine to replenish the blood the theiving buggers took from me. Sound like a plan??

                                Excellent news, Nia. Happy to hear you are on the mend.

                                I had a very nice bottle of commercial wine last night. It was a Siduri Pinot Noir from Santa Rosa, California. I've been saving it for a couple of years but will be in Santa Rosa in July, so I can get more while there (yay!).

                                Wonderful stuff. One of the better pinot noirs I've had in a long while. Like pipe tobacco and cherries in a glass.
